It was so refreshing to enjoy a fellowship night amid a busy week of school. I always look forward to these nights because I can take a break from studying and enjoy a free dinner and the company of other club members! Sometimes I get wrapped up in my studies and lose contact with people, but these nights are a way I can reunite with all the members in Berkeley. These fellowship nights are a great way to stay above water during a busy school year.
After a singing time, we received a wonderful speaking from Jon K. about Matthew 3 and 4. Jon's speaking opened up the significance of baptism. Baptism is not merely a ritual, but a declaration, an individual turn towards God's kingdom. I was reminded of when I was baptized last year in October during the college conference, which was such a memorable and sweet experience. Afterward, there was a time for overflow and personal testimony, which is always such a supply for going on in our Christian walk. Hallelujah!
