I am not an egg-eater. But hospitality breakfast has included eggs so far. I just try to turn to my spirit and enjoy the provision from the saints. It has caused me to enjoy even more this portion on retreating to my spirit. For the mind set on the spirit is life and peace (Rom 8:6).

Between extended car rides today, we hiked through Shenandoah National park. If you are expecting lush greenery, this hike is not for you (at this time of year). At different parts of the hike, I was around different people I could talk to and fellowship with. When we arrived at the summit of the mountain, there was a pile of rocks. Through the word of God, we can know Christ is the rock smitten for us to drink from (1 Cor 10:4) and a fountain of living water (John 4:14)!

Because our car stopped to pick up drinks for the college meeting, we all got a selection of snacks to share and enjoy in the future traveling blocks this trip. Shopping with the brothers and sisters was actually the highlight of my day.

At the college meeting, I enjoyed that God’s economy is the dispensing of Himself into man that we might be transformed into the same image (2 Cor 3:18) and become his duplication.

Outside of the schedule, I have been rediscovering hymns that I enjoy. For instance, I have been praising the Lord with Hymn #154 and Hymn #206.

This whole week has been an awesome, transforming revival in my spirit that I wish would never end! This morning we gathered at the Charlottesville house once more and in preparation for our DC bible museum visit tomorrow, had an introductory discussion about the reformation exposure the corruption of the Catholic Church and accomplished by the great work of evangelists such as Martin Luther.

After morning revival, we headed out to hike in Shenandoah national park. We set off on the 2-3 mile hike, round-trip, into the woods climbing the summit of little calf mountain. The woods were a delicate, interwoven array of bare tree branches. The ground scattered with sheets of shale rock and crinkling, crispy leaves. Bathing in the warm air and surrounded by the chatter of the fellow brothers and sisters, filled me with appreciation for our God and his mighty power to create such an intricate, breathtaking world.

It reminded me of one of the morning readings of Paul’s Ephesians prayers of how God’s power is not only vast and unlimitedlessly supreme, but that it’s a power meant for us. That God’s resurrecting, transcending, subduing, and overruling power are purposefully accessible and that it’s by a growing of our human spirit are we able to be filled more with the Holy Spirit and experience its transforming power in our lives.

After descending the mountain, the sisters of Charlottesville graced us with chicken-mayo stuffed croissants and a goodie bag of chips and snacks which filled our rumbling stomachs as well as our spirits with their overflowing generosity. And while we’ve gotten closer and closer to the end of this Spring trip, I can’t help but be filled with joy to have had all time with the Lord and fellowship. Thank you Lord Jesus!
